Welcome to Six Days Daily - Bivouac Media's daily breakdown on the International Six Days Enduro brough to you by Cycle News! To kick off the first episode of the first season of Six Days Daily we sat down with Antti Kallonen, Team USA's ISDE race team manager for an interview about how the United State's ISDE effort has evolved, how much commitment it takes to get to the "Olympics of Enduro" and what we can expect from the 2025 ISDE in Bergamo Italy.
The first episode of the first season of Six Days Daily features an interview with Team USA ISDE manager Antti Kallonen. Antti is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to off-road race management. He's in charge of KTM USA's off-road efforts and is a highly decorated championship-winning manager and director. In this episode we let Antti tell us what it takes to get to the ISDE for these teams, how the unique ISDE race format is challenging for the North Americans in particular, and what we can expect from the three Trophy teams competing in Italy, 2025.
The ISDE is grueling, unpredictable and full of pitfalls just waiting to slow down riders. It's also a team competition, so everyone on every team has to consistently put in their best possible performance, every day, for six days straight, to win. If that wasn't hard enough, the enduro machine is put through an intense stress test during the week with mere minutes each day set aside for maintenance.
Join us as we journey into the belly of the ISDE beast.
